About EFILive...
EFILive is a complete tuning software package that includes a powerful scan tool and comprehensive tune tool that allows you to adjust and modify an expansive list of parameters. In addition you can both datalog and flash the PCM without lugging around a laptop when you purchase the complete V2 package.
This feature is commonly called Black Box Logging (BBL) and Black Box Flashing (BBF) because of the black V2 module which is the brains of the V2 software. To further maximize the V2 capabilities we recommend using the serial port and cable connected to a Wideband O2 sensor to provide an exceptional noise-free signal for better WB logging accuracy. We also recommend using a 2GB SD Card (not included) which can hold well over 1000 hours of datalogs as well as dozens of different tunes. Both BBL and BBF are managed through the EFI Explorer (available with Version 8 Scan and Tune) on your laptop or PC. There you can download tunes from your computer to the V2 BB to flash your vehicle and upload logs from the V2 to your computer. You can also check and clear DTC's as well as perform system readiness tests.

FlashScan V2 is a standalone OBDII vehicle scan tool and data logger plus a pass through device that connects a laptop computer to a vehicle for scanning, data logging and re-programming onboard controllers.
This product contains 2 VIN licenses. You can tune any 2 engine controllers and any 2 transmission controllers with those 2 VIN licenses. To tune more controllers than that, you must purchase additional VIN licenses.

Upgrade From V1 To V2
V1 to V2 Upgrade Price: US $499.00
The FlashScan V2 upgrade interface will be shipped in “Upgrade Mode”, requiring a PC with 2 USB ports and the original FlashScan V1 which must be available to activate the FlashScan V2 interface. A V1 to V2 license transfer scheme allows the user to copy licenses from FlashScan V1 to FlashScan V2 without having to return interface to EFILive or an EFILive reseller.
Additional PCM licenses cannot be purchased for FlashScan V1 once it has been used to upgrade to FlashScan V2. FlashScan V1 will continue to operate as a fully functional Scan Tool. FlashScan V1 retains full tuning functionality for controllers originally licensed to it.

Flashscan V1 Workshop customers upgrading to FlashScan V2 will initialize their FlashScan V2 interface to allow limited license tuning while returning their FlashScan V1 interface to EFILive. Once FlashScan V1 is received by EFILive, stream activation codes will be sent to the Customer. EFILive will reset the FlashScan V1 Workshop to FlashScan V1 Commercial and return it to the Customer. The returned FlashScan V1 Commercial interface may be used by the customer as a backup Scan Tool and Tuning Tool. PCM licenses may be purchased (as required) on the returned FlashScan V1 Commercial interface.

FlashScan V2 VIN License
Price: US: $125.00
FlashScan V2 customers may purchase additional VIN licenses to tune extra controllers. Each license purchased will allow tuning of one engine/powertrain and one transmission controller. FlashScan V2's VIN licensing scheme does not rely on the VIN but on other, non-VIN data, unique to each controller. What that means is, a VIN license is required for each pair of engine and transmission controllers that you wish to reprogram, regardless of the VIN that is programmed into the controllers. The engine and transmission "pair" may be reprogrammed while installed in the same or different vehicles, it does not matter.
FlashScan can be used to reprogram the VIN in the engine and/or transmission controllers if desired. Reprogramming the VIN in a controller does not require a license.
There is no requirement to return your FlashScan cable to EFILive. The VIN license is delivered via email.
FlashScan V2 is pre-configured with two VIN licenses. Additional licenses may be purchased up to a limit of 220 per Flashscan V2 device.
